Hyderabad: Hyderabad Police’s Charminar Zone Task Force busted a banned steroid injections racket in the Chaderghat area of the Old City.
Two accused were apprehended, and contraband, along with other materials, was seized during the operation.
Two accused taken into custody
Acting on credible information, the police detained Sheikh Sameer and Waseem Khan, both residents of Old Malakpet, for allegedly selling banned steroid injections identified as mephentermine.
Seizure of banned substances
During the raid, officials seized 20 steroid injections, three mobile phones, and a motorcycle from the accused.
Supplies traced to Delhi
Preliminary investigation revealed that the accused had been procuring the banned injections through courier services from Delhi and selling them illegally in the city.
Case registered; Probe on
Police have registered a case against a total of four persons in connection with the racket. Further investigation is underway to identify other links and the supply chain behind the operation.
