Hyderabad: A 50-year-old construction laborer was allegedly raped by three men at Om Nagar under Madhura Nagar police station limits.
According to Madhura Nagar police, the incident occurred on Monday evening.
The woman reportedly went to a building near Hi-Tech City X Roads for work early that morning. After finishing her shift around 4:00 p.m., she was waiting at a bus stop when three men in an auto-rickshaw approached her. They allegedly offered her additional work, asking if she would wash clothes at their residence. She agreed and accompanied them to their home in Om Nagar.
Upon arrival, the woman asked for clothes, but the men asked her to enter inside. When she initially refused, they persuaded her by saying the clothes were lying inside. Once she stepped in, the men reportedly attacked her. According to her account, they beat her ruthlessly to restrain her movement.
Sensing danger, the woman tried to escape, but her attempts were thwarted as the men allegedly tore her clothes, strangled her, and subjected her to physical abuse. The three men reportedly took turns assaulting her. When she attempted to scream, they gagged her with a piece of cloth.
A woman from the neighborhood knocked on the door after hearing suspicious sounds. The victim used the distraction to call for help. When the door was partially opened, she managed to escape without clothes. The three accused escaped from the spot. Neighbors provided the victim with a robe. She later reported the incident to the Madhura Nagar police station.
Police have registered a case, and the investigation has been launched. The preliminary investigation revealed that all three accused are natives of Uttar Pradesh who rented the house a month ago.
