Hyderabad: A seven-year-old boy sustained multiple burn injuries after his tuition teacher allegedly branded him with a hot ladle for ‘not studying properly.’
The shocking incident occurred within the limits of Film Nagar Police Station.
Assault on boy takes place during evening tuition
According to Film Nagar Police, the child from OU Colony, Shaikpet, is a Class 1 student. On Thursday evening, his parents sent him for tuition to a local teacher, identified as Manasa.

Burn injuries at eight spots
Police said Manasa heated a metal ladle and pressed it against the boy’s hands, legs and face. The assault resulted in burn injuries at eight different places on his body. The child has been unable to walk due to the severity of the burns.
Parents approach police
Shocked by the injuries, the boy’s parents complained to Film Nagar Police Station. Based on their report, police shifted the child to Golconda Area Hospital for medical examination and treatment.
Call for stern action
The parents have demanded stringent action against the teacher for subjecting their son to such inhumane punishment. Police have launched a detailed investigation and are recording statements.
