Hyderabad: Two Accenture techies killed in car crash at Edulabad
Hyderabad: Two young software engineers were killed in a car crash near Edulabad in Medchal-Malkajgiri district on Friday night.
The accident occurred when their vehicle rammed into an electric pole, allegedly due to drunk and rash driving. The deceased have been identified as Bhargav Yadav and Varshit, both employed with Accenture. Two others, Praveen and Dinesh, were also in the car.
Praveen, who was behind the wheel, sustained serious injuries and was shifted to a hospital for treatment. Dinesh, however, escaped without any injuries. Police have shifted the bodies to the Gandhi Hospital mortuary.
Preliminary investigation suggests the group had been partying at Vihari Farmhouse in Edulabad. After consuming alcohol and stopping at a roadside dhaba for food, they were reportedly returning to the farmhouse when the crash occurred around 2 am.
Police suspect alcohol intoxication and over speeding led to the fatal accident. āWe are verifying whether the group attended any event or visited a nearby resort before the incident,ā the police said, and added that further investigation is underway to determine the exact sequence of events.
