Hyderabad: A head-on collision between two cars on the Bijapur Highway near Taj Drive-In, Kanakamamidi, claimed one life and left several others seriously injured on Friday.
Five are reported to be in critical condition
According to preliminary information, among the injured, the condition of at least five persons is said to be critical. All victims were immediately shifted to nearby hospitals for treatment.

Recent bus tragedy on the same stretch
This crash comes soon after a major accident on the same Chevella–Bijapur highway, where a tipper lorry rammed into an overcrowded TGSRTC bus near Mirjaguda in Ranga Reddy district, killing as many as 19 passengers and injuring many others on November 3.
The incident had sparked concerns over narrow road stretches, poor surface conditions, and speeding vehicles on this busy corridor.
