Hyderabad: Woman's body found in bag at Sardar Nagar; case registered

Hyderabad: People in Sardar Nagar were shocked after discovering a bag containing an unidentified woman's body.

The body was found on Wednesday morning when some passersby noticed a foul smell from a bag lying on the road. They immediately informed the police which immediately rushed to the spot.

When Pahadi Sharif police opened the bag, they discovered the decomposed body of a 35-year-old woman. The woman, who remains unidentified, was wearing a red saree and had a towel wrapped around her neck, with sandals also found in the bag.

Police suspect that she was strangulated to death using the towel. The condition of the body indicated that the murder may have taken place three days back. Perpetrators later dumped the bag at Sardar Nagar gate in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Police have shifted the body to Osmania Mortuary for postmortem. Police are trying to determine the identity of the woman. Police are also checking the missing person list for any clues. Maheswaram DCP Chintamaneni Srinivas stated that a woman's identity could potentially lead to solving the mystery surrounding the murder.

The incident has caused a stir in Sardar Nagar area. More details are expected to emerge as the investigation progresses. Police have appealed to the public to come forward with any information that could help solve the case and bring the culprits to justice.
