Hyderabad: Woman sustains injuries after uncle attacks her for rejecting love proposal

Hyderabad: A young woman was attacked by her uncle after she rejected his love proposal.

The incident took place near T-Grill Hotel in Puppalguda, Narsingi.

“It was my uncle who forced me to come out of the hostel on his electric scooter. It was behind the T Grill Hotel that he took me, and started proposing to me. When I said no, he got suspicious and thought I was involved with someone else. Out of nowhere, he took out a plant cutter from his bag and tried to kill me,” the victim said in a video.

On June 20 morning, the police received a distress call from Gachibowli Patrol Mobile-3. Acting swiftly, constable Bolishetty Satish along with his colleague Ramesh rushed to the scene. They found the victim with severe injuries. She had bleeding wounds on her neck, left cheek, and both hands.

Acting promptly, the constable immediately rushed her to Continental Hospital in Gachibowli for emergency medical treatment.

Based on the information, the police registered a case. Police later arrested the accused.
