Hyderabad: Youth stabbed to death over liquor at Madhapur; case registered
Authorities say his friends are being questioned to gather more information about the suspects

Hyderabad: A 21-year-old youth was stabbed to death after he refused to share liquor near Yashoda Hospital in Madhapur on Friday night.
Identified as Jayant Goud, the victim was a resident of Manikonda. He had come to the area with friends to celebrate his motherās birthday.
Altercation turns deadly
According to police reports, Jayant and his friends were consuming alcohol behind Yashoda Hospital when three unidentified individuals approached them and demanded a liquor bottle. A heated argument broke out between the two groups, reportedly intensified by intoxication.
The confrontation quickly escalated into violence when the trio attacked Jayant with knives, fatally injuring him. He collapsed on the spot and was pronounced dead shortly after.
Body shifted for postmortem
The victimās body was shifted to Osmania General Hospital for a postmortem examination. Authorities say his friends are being questioned to gather more information about the suspects and the sequence of events.
Case registered, hunt for accused underway
The Madhapur police have registered a case of murder and launched an intensive investigation. CCTV footage from nearby establishments is being reviewed, and efforts are on to trace and apprehend the assailants.
