Hyderabad: YouTuber Prasad Behra arrested in harrasment case

Hyderabad: The Jubilee Hills Police arrested Telugu YouTuber Prasad Behra, following a harassment complaint filed by an actor and co-worker in two web series.

The victim in her complaint stated that Behra repeatedly behaved inappropriately with her during the shoots of webseries: Pelivaramandi and Mechanic.

In her complaint, she explained, “While shooting Pelivaramandi, he touched me inappropriately, making me feel uncomfortable. I left the series, but after a year, I started working on Mechanic with him. His behavior remained the same.”

Incident at Jubilee Hills Shooting Location

The complaint highlighted a specific incident on December 11, 2024, during the shoot at a flat in Jubilee Hills.

Bamne stated, "Prasad slapped me on my back in front of the entire crew. When I confronted him, he made it look like a joke, and the others on set laughed." She further alleged that Behra used abusive language and made derogatory remarks about her appearance, age, and character.

Police Action

Following the complaint, Sub-Inspector B. Harishwar Reddy registered a case, and Prasad was arrested on December 14, sent to 14 days of judicial remand.

“We acted promptly upon receiving the complaint and ensured the accused was arrested within hours," said the SI.

Raising Awareness

The police emphasized the importance of reporting harassment cases. “We encourage victims to come forward and report incidents immediately to ensure justice,” SI said.
