Jilted lover who stabbed girlfriend to death in Chittoor untraceable; police fear he may end life
Twenty four hours on, police are yet to apprehend the 19-year-old boy who stabbed his girlfriend to death near Penumuru in Chittoor district on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, Dilli Babu, 19, had stabbed 20-year-old Gayatri to death in broad daylight even as the victim's friend watched helplessly.
Parents of the victim along with the leaders and activists of various organizations demanded the police to nab the accused forthwith.
The victim's angry parents ransacked the boy's home and set it on fire.
Police said that Dilli Babu and Gayatri had eloped on December 11, 2020.
Two days later, their parents traced the duo. They brought them to the police station where cops counseled them before allowing them to go home.
Dilli Babu however developed a grudge after Gayatri started avoiding him. He waylaid her on numerous occasions.
On Tuesday, when Gayatri was en route to Penumuru with her friend, Dilli Babu intercepted the bike on the pretext of having a chat with her. Dilli Babu however stabbed Gayatri repeatedly even as her friend watched helplessly.
Dilli Babu dropped the weapon at the spot and fled away. Gayatri was rushed to a hospital at Vellore, where she succumbed to her wounds.
Police said the accused stabbed the victim 7 times in her stomach.
Police fear that Dilli Babu may end his life too as he was not traceable. Police nabbed the family members of Dilli Babu to find out their involvement, if any, in the case.
