Kakinada shocker: School correspondent drugs girl, rapes her; pregnant victim miscarries
She was home for summer vacation when she complained of severe stomach pain

The incident came to light after the girl suffered severe stomach pain and bleeding when she went home for summer vacation.
The accused, Vijay Kumar, is a Helping Hands-aided school correspondent in Kakinada. The girl, who is from the neighboring mandal and studies in a nearby school, stays in this hostel. She was home for summer vacation when she complained of severe stomach pain. When her mother took her to the nearby primary health care center, the doctors said she was pregnant and had a miscarriage.
According to the girl's statement, in April, Vijay called her to a room and gave her some pills on the pretext of giving her COVID-19 medicine. She fell unconscious after taking the "medicine." Vijay then sexually assaulted her. He allegedly raped her several times.
The Kakinada police registered a case against the accused under the POCSO Act. Teams have been deployed to nab the accused who is absconding. The police are also interacting with other girl students in the hostel.
