Kamareddy: Six accused in the Kamareddy double suicide including Ramayampet Municipal Chairman Palle Jitendar Goud surrendered before the police on Tuesday.

The seventh accused, Police Inspector Nagarjuna Goud who earlier worked in Ramayampet and subsequently transferred to Thungathurthy in Kamareddy district, is still absconding.

On April 16, a real estate developer and his ailing mother allegedly died by suicide at a lodge in Kamareddy on Saturday.

Forty-year-old G. Santosh took his mother Padma (65), who hailed from Ramayampet, for treatment. They were staying at a hotel. The hotel employees noticed smoke coming out of their room and called the police and fire department officials. Later their charred bodies were recovered. A suicide note and a mobile phone video were found in the room.
