A criminal case is registered against Huzurabad BRS MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy for threatening police department in a public meeting

According to the complainant, on March 7, Padi Kaushik, while speaking at a public meeting in Karimnagar, said, “The district police are trying to scare and file false cases on BRS activists. Once we come to power, we will repay them. From constable to DGP and CI, no one will be spared.”
The complaint was lodged by a local, Ashish Goud, at I Town, Karimnagar police station. According to the complainant, Padi Kaushik Reddy’s speech threatened the police department intentionally, causing a breach of peace and disturbing the public peace.
Padi Kaushik Reddy also made news earlier with his remarks. During the Telangana State elections, he created a flutter with his ‘suicide remark’ on the last day of campaigning in the constituency, which came under the radar of the Election Commission. He claimed that he would take his life if he were not elected as an MLA.
A video of the BRS MLA claiming that voters would see his ‘lifeless body’ if they didn’t vote for him went viral. Following this, the EC authorities took his remarks seriously and the Kamalapur police filed an FIR against him.
