Khairatabad: ACB arrest BC commission outsourcing staffer for taking Rs 1 lakh bribe

Hyderabad: ACB officials caught Golla Srinivas, an outsourcing employee at the office of the chairman of Telangana Commission for Backward Classes in Khairatabad, for demanding and accepting a bribe amount of Rs 1 lakh.

The accused officer accepted the amount from the complainant as the first instalment for processing a caste-related file.

The bribe money was retrieved from the accused by the Anti-Corruption Bureau, City Range Unit-II. A chemical test yielded positive results for both hands.

Srinivas was arrested and will be produced before the principal special judge for SPE and ACB cases at the Nampally Court.

The ACB officials urged people to call 1064 (toll-free number) to report any public servant asking for a bribe.
