Hyderabad: The Rachakonda police on Saturday arrested a man who was selling fake branded clothes and seized huge quantities of fake Louis Philippe and Allen Solly garments worth Rs. 2.24 lakh.

The special operations team, LB Nagar zone, arrested 40-year-old Sandi Satyapal Reddy, a resident of Kothapet in Ranga Reddy district.

Satyapal was running a shop called Sri Vijaya Garments in RBI Colony, Mohan Nagar, Kothapet. He was selling counterfeit Alley Solly and Louis Philippe garments thus violating copyrights and causing wrongful loss to the companies.

The police seized 300 Louis Philippe shirts, 92 Louis Philippe t-shirts, nine Louis Philippe jeans, six Louis Philippe cotton pants, 98 Allen Solly shirts, 12 Allen Solly cotton pants, and an Allen Solly t-shirt.
