Kuppam: A woman was reportedly tied to a tree and tortured over her husbandās unpaid loan in Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naiduās constituency of Kuppam.
According to Kuppam Urban Police, Thimmarayappa and his wife, Sirisha, residents of Narayanapuram village in Kuppam Mandal, had borrowed ā¹80,000 from Munikannappa. Unable to repay the loan, Thimmarayappa fled the village, while Sirisha and her son moved to Bengaluru to live with her parents and work as daily wage laborers.
On Monday, Sirisha returned to her village to collect a study certificate for her son. Upon learning of her visit, Munikannappa and his family reportedly confronted her, humiliated her in public, and tied her to a tree in front of her child, demanding repayment of the debt.
Kuppam Urban Police were alerted and promptly rescued Sirisha. A case has been registered against Munikannappa and his family members based on her complaint, and an investigation is underway.

Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has directed that strict action be taken against those involved in the inhuman treatment of a woman in Narayanapuram village of Kuppam mandal.
He ordered stringent action against Munikannappa and his family members for their cruel behavior towards the victim. The Chief Minister immediately spoke to the District Superintendent of Police, who informed him that the accused had already been arrested. Naidu directed the police to ensure such incidents do not recur. He also advised district officials to stand by and provide all necessary support to the victimās family.
