Lockdown violations: Rachakonda cops seizes 1,579 vehicles in a single day
By Newsmeter Network Published on 21 May 2021 11:15 AM GMTHyderabad: As part of lockdown measures, the Rachakonda police seized 1,579 vehicles for violating lockdown orders and booked 4,054 cases on Thursday. The Rachakonda CP said that a total of 25,537 cases have been booked since the implementation of lockdown from 12 May.
Among them 17,360 cases were booked for lockdown violation, 6,367 for not wearing or improper wearing of mask, 1,228 cases for not observing correct physical distance at public places, 337 cases for large public gatherings, and 245 for consuming liquor in open places.

The CP said that 46 check posts have been arranged to monitor movement. Rachakonda CP Mahesh Bhagwat, on Friday, participated in vehicle checking at ECIL crossroads along with Kushaiguda traffic officials.
He commended the efforts of police officials for enforcing lockdown round the clock and requested the public to stay home and be safe or break lockdown orders and face penalty.
