Love story turns lethal; aspiring actor stabbed to death in Yousufguda

Hyderabad: The Jubilee Hills police have uncovered horrifying details in the gruesome murder case of an aspiring actor. The police have arrested four individuals so far.
The victim, K Karthik (18), hailing from Sankisa village in Mahabubabad district, went missing on August 13 from his residence in Yousufguda. His brother, Shankar, filed a missing person’s report at the Jubilee Hills police station, which ultimately led to the grim discovery. DCP West Zone, Joel Davis, disclosed the shocking details during a press conference.
According to police findings, T Sai (20), who hails from Ragolu village, Gorla Mandalam, Vizianagaram district, is a YouTuber currently residing in Hyderabad. He was in a relationship with a woman from the same profession. However, their relationship soured due to Sai’s questionable behaviour, prompting the girl to distance herself from him. In the meantime, Karthik met her and grew closer to her, fuelling Sai's jealousy.
Last month, the police said that Sai also confronted Karthik believing that Karthik and the woman became physically close. Sai, along with his accomplices K Suresh (22), M Raghu (19), and Jagadish (20), all from Vizianagaram, meticulously planned the murder.
Accused kept victim's phone
On August 13, Karthik was lured by Sai, who claimed to have some of his belongings in the woman's room and asked Karthik to collect them. Karthik, unsuspecting, went with Sai on a bike. They took him to the old Bowenpally Airport road to a forest area where, along with his associates, they brutally attacked the victim. They threw him from a motorcycle, tied him to a tree, stabbed him, and ultimately crushed his head with stones.
While three of the accused returned to their native places, Suresh, in a bizarre move, decided to keep Karthik’s cell phone and stay in the city. The police investigation was set in motion after Karthik’s body was discovered. Suresh inadvertently activated Karthik’s cell phone, leading to his arrest.
