Hyderabad: A Nampally court sentenced a Madhya Pradesh man to 20 years rigorous imprisonment on 15 April for the rape of a minor girl. The accused has been identified as Sukrat Singh Uikey (39) from Mandla district, Madhya Pradesh.

He had come to Hyderabad looking for work and had been working for a transport lorry service. He had rented a room in Hyderabad's Mangalhat. The victim, a 5-year-ols girl, lived with her parents and elder brother in a room beside the accused's.
