A total of nine persons have been accused in the case. The accused have been identified as A1 (Accused No 1) Salman Shah (27), A2 Mohammed Ateeq (35), A3 Rizwan Ali (37) and A4 Mohammed Yaseen (38).
Those absconding have been identified as A5 Shahed, A6 Wajid, A7 Neetha, A8 Abrar, A9 Naser and A10 Mohd Sameer.
Case details
On credible information and in a joint operation of Telangana Anti-Narcotics Bureau (TSNAB) and Mailardevpally police conducted a raid at a house in Mailardevpally on Saturday.
The house belonged to A2 (Mohammed Ateeq), in which the accused A1 to A4 were found. Upon searching the house, they found 90 grams of MDMA. The police said that the accused were addicted to consuming MDMA by mixing it with Rajanigandha.
The police said A1 came from Maharashtra to deliver 50 grams of MDMA drug to A2 in Hyderabad. A3 came to the house to pick up the drugs while the other accused were also present. The police said that A2 to A4 used to purchase the drug frequently from the accused A1 and A5 to A7.
Around 90 grams of MDMA and four mobile phones were seized from the possession of the accused. The accused were produced before the court for judicial remand.
A case has been registered under sections 8(c), 22(c), 27(a), 29 of the Narcotics Drugs Psychotropic Substances (Amendment) Act of 1985.
