Man alerts police; helps prevent rape of a minor
At about 2 am, an auto driver Syed Zahed who parked his auto opposite to GPO noticed that a person was misbehaving with the six-year-old girl.

Hyderabad: An auto driver, Syed Zahid rescued a minor girl from rape by alerting the Abids police on time. Anjani Kumar IPS, Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad appreciated and honored the auto driver with a memento.
On 24th November at 02:30 hours in the morning, the Abids police received a complaint from Mohammed Rizwana Begum, aged 30 who was a beggar at Nampally Yousufain Dargah. In the complaint, she stated that as usual on 23rd November, at about 6 am she had gone to Nampally Yousufain Dargah along with her 2 daughters aged about 6 years & 2 years for begging.
After taking alms, she and her children came to meet her brother Mohammed Bin Yamani near the General Post Office, Abids. As she got late and missed her train to return back home, she decided to stay along with her brother for the night. At about 12 am she along with her daughters and her brother slept on the footpath near Bata showroom, opposite GPO, Abids.
At about 2 am, an auto driver Syed Zahed who parked his auto opposite to GPO noticed that a person was misbehaving with the six-year-old girl . Immediately, he woke up the complainant and her brother Yamani and informed them. Following this, Rizwana Begum along with Yamani started quarrelling with Chotu.
Meantime, the night duty patrolling staff of Abids PS observed them, enquired, apprehended and brought the accused Mohammed Chotu to Abids PS and registered a case under POCSO Act.
During the Interrogation, it was revealed that the accused Mohammed Chotu (41) from Shah Inayat Gunj was earlier involved in around 16 cases and a suspect sheet is being maintained against him at Afzalgunj PS. Chotu was lastly arrested by Afzalgunj Police.
