Man hacked to death in broad daylight at Mailardevpally

Hyderabad: In one of the most brutal attacks the city had witnessed so far, a man was hacked to death in broad daylight in Mailardevpally on Thursday afternoon.

The murder, which was caught on camera, showed the attackers attacking the victim, identified as Asad Khan, a resident of Mailardevpally, with a sharp weapon. In the attack, Asad suffered a grievous wound on the head that led him to bleed to death on the spot.

Police said that at around 1.30 pm on Thursday when Asad was travelling on a bike, a group of unidentified men attacked him at Shastripuram. Asad fell on the road and one of the attackers clubbed Asad on the head repeatedly. As the public began to gather, the attackers fled the scene, and Asad succumbed to his injuries. Although the police said that the motive for the murder is a personal grudge, complete details of the case are yet to be revealed.

"Records show that Asad was involved in the murder of one Amjad Khan. The teams constituted for the case were investigating the role of Amjab's family," the police said.

Investigation is underway.
