Hyderabad: A 29-year-old website developer was arrested here for allegedly stealing two luxury cars after posing as a valet parking staff in Hyderabad.

B Arun Reddy, a resident of TNGO's colony in Gachibowli posed as a valet and allegedly stole a high-end car of a woman who had come to attend a music concert of Badsha at Boulder hills on June 24.

According to police, Arun Reddy, claiming to be a valet approached the woman at Badsha musical event at Boulder hills and entered her details in an app on his phone and after she gave the car's key to him he drove away. Later he parked the stolen vehicle in a hotel.

He was nabbed by a police team on Friday when he had gone to take it.

During interrogation by the Cyberabad Police, it was found that the accused had stolen another luxury car BMW X5 from Zero 40 pub in May last year, and it was recovered from his house.

Modus Operandi

The accused targeted luxury cars from busy parking lots by tricking the owners in a guise of valet parking. He created a fake web page on his phone to enter car details. He used to hid the stolen cars in unidentified locations and use them later by changing the number plates.
