Bapatla: Three days after the murder of a 29-year-old in Vemuru mandal in Bapatla district in Andhra Pradesh, the accused, a 35-year-old man, was found dead on the railway tracks. He died by suicide at Nidubrolu Railway station in Ponnuru town.

According to the police, D. Sarada was in an "illicit" relationship with M. Padma Rao for the last four years. Six months ago, Padma Rao hit her after suspecting her of having a relationship with someone else. Sarada started staying away from him following this incident. On 15 May, Sarada was cleaning the premises outside her house when Padma Rao killed her and fled the spot.

Padma Rao was found dead on Thursday. He had thrown himself in front of a double-decker train coming from Tirupati to Visakhapatnam.
