MCC in Telangana: Police intensify checking; seize Rs 54.3L unaccounted cash, gold, silver

Massive stashes of cash have been seized during checks at various locations.
During vehicle checking at Puranapool, Gandhi statue, police seized Rs 15 lakh from Shanker Yadav, a resident of Begam Bazar. He had concealed the money in his Activa scooter seat.
Filmnagar police during vehicle checking at Narayanamma Engineering College found Rs 30 lakhs unaccounted cash in a Hyundai Creta vehicle.
Likewise, Rs 9.3 lakh cash without valid documents was caught at Panchasheela X road from Y. Gopi Rao.
Immediately afterwards, our teams came onto the roads and started the enforcement. There were huge seizures as seen below in the next few hours . Abid Road police during checking at Nakabandi intercepted a vehicle near Gate No 1, Nizam College. On checking, the police found a bag with 700 grams of pure gold biscuits and 295 kg of pure silver, all worth Rs 7,50,00,000.
On inquiry, it was found that Sai Kumar (Driver), K. Venkatesh (Office employee), and M. Shiva Prasad (Office Accountant) are working in Caps Gold Pvt Ltd located at RP Road, Secunderabad. They were transporting pure gold and silver material to their sub-branch situated at Modi Arcade, Gunfoundary, Abids, Hyderabad.

MCC for elections is an essential tool for the conduct of free and fair elections. All political parties and candidates are asked to behave responsibly so that peace and harmony among various castes, communities, religions, etc. is maintained.
The MCC remains in force from the date of announcement of the election till the completion of the election process. The elections for five states are scheduled to be held between November 7 and November 30 with Telangana going to polls on the last day of November.
