Meerpet police seize 190 kg ganja; arrest 6 peddlers
They were transporting the ganja to Karnataka. Besides 190 kg of ganja, a vehicle, and five mobile phones were seized from their possession.

On 18 April, the police were conducting vehicle checks at the Jillelaguda crossroads when they apprehended Nenavath Krishna (25), Boda Hathi Ram (30), Sabavat Balu, Nenavath Hari (26), Ramavath Rohith (21), and Ramavath Kiran (25). They were transporting the ganja to Karnataka. Besides 190 kg of ganja, a vehicle, and five mobile phones were seized from their possession.
Another accused, Nenavath Ashok (23), is absconding.
The arrested persons are being produced before the court.
In 2019, Krishna was arrested by the Kotananduru police in East Godavari while he was transporting ganja from Darakonda to Vishakhapatnam. He was sent to Rajamandri jail where he met Boda Hathi Ram who was arrested by the Yetapaka police in a ganja case. After they were released from prison, the two went into the illegal ganja business along with Nenavath Hari and Nenavath Ashok.
In February this year, Krishna, Hari, and Ashok sent Rs. 94,000 as advance to Boda Hathiram and Balu to purchase ganja from Badrachalam. Later, they hired a car and engaged two drivers ā Ramavath Rohith and Ramavath Kiran. The two left for Bhadrachalam and once they reached there, Balu and Boda Hathiram loaded 64 packets of ganja. They returned to Hyderabad with the ganja and parked the vehicle at Nenavath Krishna's house where it stayed till Monday.
