Hyderabad: Panic gripped Jeedimetla when a gang of burglars cut open three ATMs and decamped with large amounts of cash.
Hour-long operation
According to Jeedimetla police, three masked men wearing caps entered the HDFC ATM center located at Gajularamaram Markandeya Nagar crossroads.
Using a gas cutter, they broke open three ATMs and looted the cash. The theft went on uninterrupted for nearly an hour.
Alarm alerted police
The ATM alarm was disabled for about an hour. This alerted the Jeedimetla police. Clues teams and dog squads reached the scene and gathered crucial evidence. CCTV footage captured clear visuals of the three culprits.
Similar incidents in other areas
Police said similar ATM thefts were reported recently in Ravirala and Mailardevpally areas of Ranga Reddy district as well. Special teams have been formed to track down the gang.

Senior officials stated that the crime team is working swiftly and assured that the case will be solved at the earliest.
