`Monster' dad arrested for repeatedly raping 15YO daughter in Visakhapatnam

Visakhapatnam: A 42-year-old man was arrested for repeatedly raping his 15-year-old daughter in the city. The incident came to light on Saturday night.
According to Police Inspector Emmanuel Raju, the accused underwent kidney surgery a year ago. The kidney was donated by his wife. After surgery, doctors advised his wife a complete rest. Since then, she has been staying at her mother's house. During this period, the accused has been staying with his daughter.
On Saturday, his daughter, who is studying in Class X, was reluctant to return back home after school hours. When teachers enquired, the girl told them that she did not want to go back home as her father has been sexually abusing her.
Later, the teacher asked the girl to lodge a complaint with the local police. In her statement, the girl stated that she was allegedly raped many times by her father.
A case of rape has been registered against the accused. Police have also booked him under POCSO Act. The case was handed over to the Disha Police Station for further investigation.
