Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Narcotic Enforcement Wing (H-NEW) along with the Charminar police arrested an interstate drug peddler and seized 40 grams of MDMA and a phone—all worth Rs. 4 lakhs—from him. The accused has been identified as Mehraj Kazi, 34, of Mumbai, Maharashtra.
Kazi used to purchase drugs from absconding drug supplier Suraj Ghoswami of Mumbai. He played a key role in supplying MDMA to drug peddlers in Hyderabad and Mumbai. Kazi was earlier arrested in a NDPS case in Mumbai city.
After receiving credible information, the sleuths of H-NEW along with the Charminar police apprehended Kazi and seized MDMA from his possession.
