Postal ballots for senior citizens

In Munugodu Assembly constituency, 739 electors—senior citizens over 80 years of age and the disabled—submitted Form 12-D for issue of postal ballots. To help them cast their votes through postal ballots, seven teams were formed, one team per mandal with an officer not below the rank of polling officer, an assistant polling officer, a police constable, and a videographer.

A schedule was prepared for the teams to visit the houses of the AVSC and AVPD electors from 23 to 25 October. Accordingly, all the teams visited the houses and 318 AVSC and AVPD electors cast their votes for the first phase. All candidates have also been informed of the schedule so that they can send their agents along.
