Hyderabad: Three persons have been arrested for the brutal murder committed in broad daylight at Jagadgirigutta bus stop on November 5.
The Jagadgirigutta Police and the SOT Balanagar Team of Cyberabad Commissionerate, who made the arrests, said that the accused planned the crime over a previous enmity with the deceased, identified as Roshan Kumar Singh, an auto driver from Balanagar.
The accused have been identified as T Bala Showreddy, Syed Mahamood and Revo Aditya; all residents of Jagadgirigutta.
What is the case about?
The prime accused, Bala Showreddy, who also has a rowdy sheet at Jagadgirigutta PS, had a long-standing rivalry with one Shareef.
The deceased, Roshan Kumar Singh, who also had a rowdy sheet at Balanagar PS, had sided with Shareef in this rivalry. Roshan threatened him that he would ‘end his life’ if he interfered in Shareef’s matters.
The incident created a deep grudge and enmity in his mind. In retaliation, he procured a knife online, with the intention of killing Roshan Kumar Singh. He disclosed his plan to his close associates, Mahamood and Aditya, who readily agreed to murder Roshan Kumar.
As per their plan, on November 5, Bala called Roshan at Jagadgirigutta bus stop. The accused also reached the location on motorcycles. While Bala was talking with Roshan, Mahamood caught hold of Roshan’s pants from behind. Bala took out the knife and stabbed Roshan in the chest, abdomen and back, causing grievous injuries.
The entire incident occurred in broad daylight in a crowded place, spreading panic among people. After the attack, the accused fled on a Royal Enfield. Roshan was shifted to Medi-Tech Hospital and later to Gandhi Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
The police seized the blood-stained clothes and the motorcycle of the accused. A case has been registered.
Cyberabad Police ask people to report crime instead of recording it
- Anyone found to have directly or indirectly supported or abetted the commission of the offence shall be dealt with strictly in accordance with the law and prosecuted accordingly.
- In this case, it was observed that some members of the public recorded the attack on their mobile phones instead of attempting to prevent the crime or immediately informing the Police Control Room (Dial 100).
- Such inaction can have serious consequences. The public is urged to act responsibly to inform police immediately in case of violent incidents rather than recording them for social media circulation. Timely information can help save lives and aid in swift police response.
