Hyderabad: A 16-year-old student ended his life in the Narsingi area. On Friday morning, an MPC student was found dead in his house. The incident was reported by his father, a pot maker.

According to the Narsingi police, the student had accompanied his parents to sell pots at Gold Fish Circle in Manchirevula on Friday morning. He went to their old house to retrieve more pots. When he did not return, his sister went to check on him. She discovered that her brother had killed himself.

The student was immediately taken to Golconda Area Hospital. However, the duty doctor declared him dead on arrival. He was a first-year Intermediate student (MPC) and was supposed to take his first-year final exam on Saturday.

The victims’s father said his son might have been upset about not being able to take his exams, which could have led to his decision to take his own life. However, the investigation into the matter is still ongoing, and the police have not confirmed the motive for the suicide.

Narsangi inspector V Shiva Kumar has confirmed that a case has been registered.
