Nellore shocker: SI thrashes man for not wearing facemask, video goes viral

Nellore :A police sub-inspector kicked and thrashed a man for not wearing a mask in public at Adurupalle center of Chejerla in Nellore district on Friday. A video of the barbaric act has now gone viral on social media.

Locals recorded the entire episode on their mobile phones and posted it on social networking platforms to highlight the arrogance of the police officer. Locals said SI Haneef has beaten up so many people in the past. Locals have demanded stringent action against police officer for violating rights of common people.

Netizens have sent the video to the Nellore District Police Chief to prove how some rowdy police officers are involved in rude behavior.

At a time when the whole world is reeling under the COVID-19 pandemic, wearing a mask becomes a necessity. But, the behavior is unbecoming of a police officer, locals added.
