Newlywed couple killed in bike crash on Andhra-Odisha border

Srikakulam: A couple was killed in a road accident just three days after their wedding at the Andhra-Odisha border. On February 10, Venu and Pravallika married at Simhachalam temple in Visakhapatnam. A native of Ichchapuram in the Srikakulam district, Venu was working at a shop. Pravallika hails from Berhampur.
They had arranged a reception at Ichchapuram on Sunday. The incident happened when the couple was going to Pravallika's home in Odisha on a bike. A tractor hit them near Golantra, at the Odisha border.
While Pravallika died on the spot, Venu died en route to the hospital. Police suspect heavy fog and a speeding tractor might be the reasons for the accident. In recent weeks, there have been many road accidents reported on these routes.
