Sangareddy: A nine-year-old girl lost her life at her home in Chitkul village of Patancheru mandal after a makeshift swing turned fatal.
Towel swing tied to ceiling fan turns deadly
The victim, identified as Sahasra, had tied a towel to a ceiling fan to use it as a swing during a power cut. However, when the electricity supply was restored, the fan began rotating, causing the towel to tighten around her neck and leading to her death by strangulation.
Parents were away visiting elder daughter

Brotherās efforts go in vain
Sahasra and Ganishwar were playing at home when the accident occurred. Realising what had happened, Ganishwar quickly switched off the fan and alerted their grandmother, but Sahasra had already succumbed.
