Notorious house burglars arrested, stolen items worth over Rs. 8L seized
By Newsmeter Network Published on 7 Aug 2021 1:00 PM GMTHyderabad: The Malkajgiri cyber crime police on Saturday arrested three persons involved in a series of house burglaries and recovered gold and silver ornaments and other items worth Rs. 8.90 lakhs from their possession.
The accused have been identified as brothers Gajula Yogender (27) and Gajula Nagender (21) of Jawaharnagar and Nitturi Snehith Raj (30) of Karimnagar district. The latter used to receive the stolen goods from the two men.
On 27 July, the police received a complaint from Sri Kunchala Ramanaiah, a 39-year-old businessman from Nagaram, who said his house had been broken into in his absence and gold and silver ornaments weighing around 600 gms and some cash had been stolen. Further, he said that his neighbor Syed Mohammad's house was also broken into and some silver articles were stolen.
On 7 August, the sleuths of CCS Malkajgiri with the help of the Keesara police apprehended the three men. During interrogation, they confessed to five offences in the Keesara and Neredmet police station limits of Rachakonda commissionerate and Hanmakonda police station limits of Warangal commissionerate.
According to the police, Yogender was involved in house burglaries earlier and had been arrested by the Trimulgherry police and released on 11 September 2014. Following that, he had been involved in several burglaries in Alwal, Trimulgherry, and Warangal Urban police station limits. He was arrested in relation to 25 burglary cases and had even been detained under the Preventive Detention Act twice.
