Hyderabad: The CCS LB Nagar team apprehended an inter-state house burglar involved in several cases and recovered from him 440 grams gold ornaments, 568 grams silver ornaments, cash Rs. 25,000, some US Dollars, 26 wristwatches, and other items ā all worth Rs. 32 lakh.
The accused has been identified as Jaganath (28). Another accused, Brahamdou alias Raja Sri Ganesh, is absconding. Earlier, the two had been arrested several times and sent to jail. In 2017, Jaganath was arrested by the Indirangar police, Bangalore, and in 2019, he was arrested by the Vartur police, Bangalore.
He was again arrested by the Hiriyur police in the Chitradurga district. In 2021 he was arrested by the Devanahalli police in Karnataka and sent to jail. He was released on 10 February 2022.
Meanwhile, Raj Sri Ganesh was arrested by the Miyapur police in 2014 and again by the Ghatekesar police. In 2018, he was arrested by the LB Nagar police and sent to jail. At that time, the PD Act had been invoked against Ganesh. After he was released, he went to Bangalore where he befriended Jaganath. Later, the two decided to commit burglaries in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
On the intervening night of 6 and 7 March 2022, the two men broke into a house in Rock Town Colony under the limits of LB Nagar police station. They stole gold and net cash. After that, Ganesh broke into a pharmacy and stole cash. The two fled the spot. Following this, they committed several burglaries in Proddatur, Banjara Hills, and Ballary.
