NTR: Cop arrested for abusing Jagan, family; video goes viral

NTR: Police have arrested Armed Reserve (AR) police constable for making derogatory remarks against Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, and his family members.
NTR district police produced him in the court which sent him to 14 days judicial remand. The constable has also been suspended. The video had gone viral on Whatsapp groups, and social media platforms.
Constable Tanneru Venkateshwarlu, posted as a driver with National Highway patrolling vehicle, had made the remarks during an interaction with a villager at a tea stall near Gouravaram village in the NTR district.
When the person asked him about the salary, the Constable made derogatory comments against Jagan and his family members. The villager shot his video and lodged a complaint with the police.
Police Commissioner Kanthi Rana Tata said V. Satish, who recorded the voice of the police constable and lodged a complaint with the Chillakallu police. A case has been booked for provoking disharmony, creating hatred between groups, provoking a breach of peace, and other charges.
