Online human, drug trafficking racket busted; 5 Ugandan held
By Newsmeter Network Published on 21 May 2021 11:15 AM GMTHyderabad: In a joint operation, the anti-human trafficking unit and Chaitanyapuri police busted human and drug trafficking operations being conducted through online dating app Locanto. They arrested five persons, all nationals of Uganda, who were using the app for their illegal activities.
The police used a decoy to talk to one of the users on the dating app who was allegedly exploiting women through prostitution. The decoy was told that three Ugandan girls will be provided for the price of Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 14,000 depending on the number of hours.
The decoy was sent the location for the exchange which was at NH-65, near Rajadhani Theatre in Dilsukh Nagar under the limits of Chaitanyapuri police station. The team arrived at the place as per the time decided and apprehended the accused who were identified as Sheila alias Nagabala Shaik alias Nassali Milly (35), Nakkazzi Florence alias Mariam (36), Sarah Namwanje (23), Nalwoga Oliver Hildah alias Nakkawa (25), and Sharifah Nakabuubi (25).
The officials also seized banned narcotics from them. All five have been staying in India illegally. Nassali Milly came to Mumbai on a tourist Visa on 3 December 2020. In March this year, she moved to Hyderabad and rented a flat at Koh-E-Sar Colony in Tolichowki. She along with Florence brought girls from Uganda and were running a prostitution racket from the Tolichiwki apartment.
