Anand Vijaywargia, a 46-year-old resident of Prabhas Enclave in Yusufguda, received a call from two unknown numbers on April 26, claiming that he has an outstanding telephone bill.
The callers asked him to transfer the amount via Google Pay to avoid legal consequences.
Despite denying any outstanding bills, the callers convinced Vijaywargia to transfer the amount. Unfortunately, after the transaction was completed, he realized that he had been scammed, and the callers' numbers were switched off when he attempted to contact them.
