Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has ordered a probe into the suspicious death of Pastor Praveen Pagadala in Rajahmundry on March 25.
The 45-year-old preacher, known for his religious work in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, was on his way to attend a Christian convention in Chagallu, East Godavari district.
He was riding his motorcycle when the incident occurred on National Highway (NH-16).
Naidu spoke to Director General of Police Harish Kumar Gupta and asked him to conduct a multi-pronged investigation.
East Godavari district police registered a case under section 194 BNSS.
Later, his followers and fellow preachers staged a protest, demanding a probe into the matter. Family members said it was a premeditated murder, citing injuries on his face.
