Police warn Goshamahal MLA T Raja Singh Lodh for travelling without security

Hyderabad: The police have issued a notice to Goshamahal BJP MLA T Raja Singh Lodh, warning him to adhere strictly to prescribed safety protocols to avoid any potential threats to his life.

The order comes in light of his recent movements through communally sensitive areas without his assigned security.

Police identify high-risk localities

The notice, served by the Mangalhat Police, cites a specific instance on May 31, when Singh was seen travelling between 5 pm and 7 pm through high-risk localities such as Talabkatta, Bhavani Nagar, Injanbowli, Baba Nagar, Bahadurpura, Santosh Nagar, Yakutpura, Golkonda and Jirra, all known for their communal sensitivity, without his official security escort or bulletproof vehicle.

Police emphasised that Singh has been receiving frequent threat calls, and that venturing out unprotected constitutes a serious lapse in personal security.

ā€œYou are therefore once again urged to safeguard yourself by using the bulletproof vehicle and 1+4 security personnel provided by the government, in order to avoid any untoward incidents,ā€ the notice stated.

Second warning to Raja Singh

This is the second such warning issued in the past month, raising concerns within the police department about the MLA’s continued disregard for safety advisories.

Officials reminded Raja Singh that his government-provided Z-category security is based on credible threats to his life, and any negligence not only endangers him personally but could also trigger larger law and order issues in the communally sensitive areas he visits.

Despite being under multiple threats in the past, Singh has reportedly continued to move independently without informing law enforcement, prompting repeated interventions by city police.
