Rachakonda cop nab cyberstalker for harassing woman on Instagram
The Rachakonda cyber crime police arrested a cyberstalker on February 24 for harassing women by sending abusive messages content and obscene photos and voice messages on Instagram.

The accused has been identified as 20-year-old Chembeti Charan from SF Nagar under Vanasthalipuram police station in Rangareddy district. A phone and a SIM card were seized from him.
Chembeti Charan, a student of B.Pharma at Gurunanak Institutions, Ibrahimpatnam is known to the complainant as they were in school together.
After completion of schooling, they used to meet frequently and one fine day accused proposed the complainant but she simply rejected him and later she got married.
According to police the accused created a fake account on Instagram in October 2020 and started sending abusive messages and obscene photos to the complainant and allegedly harassed her. Following which the victim filed a complaint at the Rachakonda cyber crime police station.
During the course of the investigation, the police collected technical evidence and after analysing all technical data and other credible information, the accused was identified and arrested. He was sent to judicial custody.
The police have booked a case under section 354D of IPC(follows a woman and contacts or attempts to contact such woman to foster personal interaction repeatedly despite a clear indication of disinterest) and Secion 67A of IT Act(publishing or transmitting of material containing sexually explicit material).
