Hyderabad: The Rachakonda police busted an interstate human trafficking and prostitution racket and arrested two persons and rescued a victim on 4 December.

After receiving information that some persons were running a prostitution racket, the anti-human trafficking unit and the Saroornagar police jointly raided Ganesh Lodge in Dilshukhnagar on Friday. They apprehended Juttu Mahendra and Panninti Sujatha along with one victim.

According to the police, the gang lured women who were in need of financial aid and turned them towards prostitution. Varun, the kingpin who is absconding, took money from customers online and sent women to their selected place with the assistance of Mahendra and Sujatha.

On 4 December, Varun sent Mahendra and Sujatha along with the victim to the lodge where they were waiting for the customer. They were caught red-handed. The victim is from Rajahmundry in Andhra Pradesh.
