Ramagundam police arrest CPI(M) party member, wife for anti -government activities
To avoid suspicion, one of the accused made fake Aadhaar and PAN cards with the names of Jallampelly Bakkaiahand Jallampelly Lakshmi, purchased land in Indaram and constructed a small house.
By Newsmeter Network Published on 2 Dec 2023 2:52 PM GMTHyderabad: A special team of the Ramagundam police commissionerate apprehended a CPI (Maoist) partyās technical committee member and his wife at Indaram village of Jaipur Mandal, Adilabad district.
The arrested have been identified as Donga Gangadhara Rao alias Narsanna alias Bakkanna alias Vengo Dada and his wife Bhavani alias Sujata alias Shyamala alias Lami.
According to the police, Donga Gangadhara Rao hailed from Narendrapuram village in Ambedkar Kona Seema District, Andhra Pradesh. He has been working as a central committee member in the technical department of the banned CPI (Maoist) party. He studied polytechnic at the Vizag Government Polytechnic College in the year 1969 and later married Bhavani.
In 1972, he went to Hyderabad for livelihood and worked in an asbestos manufacturing company there till 1980. During that time, he got acquainted with one Vishwam, the city committee organiser of the Maoist Party and later joined the party. He joined in UG of the Maoist party in 2000 and took over the technical department where he manufactured weapons and explosives.
The police said that about ten months ago, as per the instructions of central committee member Chandranna, he along with his wife came to Indaram to build the network of the Maoist party by raising funding, inciting the youth in large numbers, destroying government properties and other anti-government activities against the government.
To avoid suspicion, they made fake Aadhaar and PAN cards with the names of Jallampelly Bakkaiahand Jallampelly Lakshmi, purchased land in Indaram and constructed a small house. Occasionally, they used to go to Sironcha, a border area of Maharashtra to attend party meetings with Maoist Party central committee member Chandranna and state committee members Bhaskar, Bandi Prakash, and Bade Chokkarao. They used to discuss matters related to party activities with them on WhatsApp.
They visited many places in Telangana, Odissa, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand for two to three years for party works and came to Indaram a few months ago.
On Saturday, Ramagundam special police team arrested them at their house in Indaram village of Jaipur PS limits and seized the following items from their possession. Another accused, Chippakurthi Srinivas of Penchikalpet village is on the run and efforts are on to catch him.
