Sanathnagar cops seize MDMA drugs worth Rs 6 lakh; 4 held, including two juveniles

Hyderabad: The Commissioner’s Task Force (Jubilee Hills Zone), along with Sanathnagar police, busted a small MDMA supply network in the city, apprehending two juveniles in conflict with law (JCLs) and two young offenders.
The police seized 60 grams of MDMA, estimated to be worth Rs 6 lakh, from their possession.
Accused and their roles
The arrested individuals have been identified as:
Songapu Hemanth (23) – a student and alleged consumer
Mukkagalla Nagendra (21) – alleged consumer
Police said both were involved in procuring and distributing the drug to known customers in Hyderabad.
Absconding suppliers identified
Two key suppliers, Sai Nikhil Yadav and Aditya, are currently absconding. Efforts are underway to trace and apprehend them.
How the racket operated
According to police, the accused were habitual consumers of alcohol, ganja and MDMA. They reportedly developed contacts with the suppliers in Chintal and began purchasing MDMA at lower prices.
Investigations revealed that the accused procured 60 grams of MDMA two days ago with the intent of selling it to regular customers at higher rates, thereby making quick profits.

The arrested individuals, along with the seized material, have been handed over to Sanathnagar Police Station for further investigation and legal action.

Police are continuing their investigation to track down the absconding accused and to identify other links in the drug supply chain.
