Secunderabad robbers attack delivery boy; decamp with parcels worth Rs 9.56L

Unidentified robbers attacked a delivery and pickup worker and decamped with his parcels worth Rs. 9,56,000.

The incident occurred on Monday night in the Parklane area of Secunderabad.

Maurya had been working as a Delivery and pickup Boy for VBS Parcel Services for over a decade. His routine task includes collecting parcels from various parts of the city and delivering them to the company's office located on the 2nd Floor of the CTC Building in Secunderabad.

At around 10:30 PM, he collected seven parcels from different areas including Basheerbagh, Himayathnagar, and Narayanaguda. These parcels were collectively valued at approximately Rs. 9,56,000.

As he was returning to the office, two unknown assailants on a two-wheeler intercepted him near Hongkong Bazaar. The pillion rider got down and attacked Maurya. He also sprinkled chili powder on him.

Later they snatched the parcels and sped away from the scene.

A case has been registered at Mahankali police station. Police have put the investigation on a fast track.
