Secunderabad: RPF raids East Coast Express, rescues 10 child trafficking victims
Acting on the intelligence generated by RPF's Cyber Cell, a raid was conducted on East Coast Express on February 10.

Hyderabad: Railway Protection Force (RPF), Secunderabad, rescued 10 child trafficking victims and detained five traffickers. The operation was conducted in collaboration with the NGO `Bachpan Bachao’.
Acting on the intelligence generated by RPF's Cyber Cell, a raid was conducted on East Coast Express on February 10. RPF men escorted East Coast Express from its starting point of jurisdiction and conducted a raid from Khammam to Secunderabad. The operation was carried out by the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) of RPF Secunderabad.
An eye was kept on some specific coaches to identify and pinpoint the seats of the traffickers. Later 10 child trafficking victims were rescued along. Five traffickers coming from West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar were also apprehended.
On arrival at Secunderabad, they were handed over to authorities for further legal action. In 2022, RPF Secunderabad rescued 23 Children under Operation AAHT.
