Seven arrested for bike racing in Begumpet

On February 1 at around 1:20 pm, some bike riders were performing racing at high speeds, making loud horn sounds and creating nuisance to the common public on Prakash Nagar main road in Begumpet.

Seven arrested for bike racing in Begumpet

Hyderabad: The Begumpet police on Wednesday arrested seven people for performing dangerous bike stunts and racing. The incident came to limelight when complainant A.Govind Singh, Sub Inspector of Begumpet police station received information that on February 1, Tuesday, at around 1:20 pm, some riders on Apache and Platina bikes were performing bike racing at high speeds, making loud horn sounds and creating nuisance to the common public on Prakash Nagar main road in Begumpet.

On receiving the complaint, Begumpet police took up the investigation and with the help of the CCTV footage and vehicle registration numbers, identified the accused persons and apprehended them.

The seven people arrested have been identified as Mohammed Altfa (25), a resident of Amberpet in Hyderabad, Md. Azam (19) from Amberpet in Hyderabad, Shaik Shadul (21) from Secunderabad, Mohammed Ashwaq (23) from Amberpet in Hyderabad, Syed Aleem from Amberpet, Syed from Amberpet, Md.Jameel alias Arbaz (20) from Amberpet. Two more persons performed the bike stunts but they are absconding.

One Apache bike, an Activa Bike, two Pulsar bikes, two Oppo cell phones, one Redmi 9 cell phone, and a Vivo cell phone were seized from the apprehended persons.
