The deceased has been identified as Paramuri Prasad, 50, a native of Kakinada. His friend Ganta Panduranga Rao has been named as prime accused in the case.
Police said that Ganta Panduranga Rao, who hailed from Kakinada had come to Avalingi three months ago to work as a laborer for the construction of a drinking water tank near Buditi in Saravakota Mandal. He was putting up in a rented house at Avalingi.
